What is Braincave?
Braincave is a second brain. It captures, organises, and surfaces the things your real brain was never designed to store, so you can think more clearly, worry less, and follow through on what matters.
How is Braincave different from a notes app?
Notes apps store what you type. Braincave understands it. Every thought you capture is automatically classified, tagged, and cross-referenced by AI. You never organise anything. Braincave does it for you, and surfaces the right thing at the right time.
Do I need to be organised to use Braincave?
Not at all. Braincave is designed for people who don't want to maintain a system. Your only job is to capture thoughts. Text them, speak them, snap a photo, or forward an email. Braincave handles everything else.
What devices does Braincave work on?
Braincave is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works on any device with a browser. Phone, tablet, or desktop. Install it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
Capture
How do I capture a thought?
Open Braincave and type, speak, or snap a photo. You can also forward emails to your unique Braincave email address. It takes a few seconds, and you don't need to tag, categorise, or file anything.
Can I capture by voice?
Yes. Tap the mic button and speak naturally. Braincave transcribes your voice and processes it through the same AI pipeline as text. Great for capturing thoughts while driving, walking, or cooking.
What happens if I'm offline?
Braincave queues your captures locally and syncs them automatically when you're back online. You'll never lose a thought because of a bad connection.
AI and Privacy
How does the AI work?
When you capture a thought, AI classifies it into one of four buckets (People, Projects, Ideas, or Admin), extracts relevant details like names, dates, and next actions, and suggests tags. It all happens in seconds, with no input from you.
Do you train AI models on my data?
Never. Your data is used solely to power your personal second brain. We do not use it to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models. Your thoughts are yours.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored securely in an encrypted cloud database. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We take security seriously. It's the foundation of everything we build.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent. We don't soft-delete or archive. When it's gone, it's gone.
Pricing
How much does Braincave cost?
Braincave has three plans: Standard at $10/month, Big Brain at $15/month with unlimited captures and searches, and a Founding Member deal at $5/month locked in forever for the first 100 users. All plans include a 14-day free trial.
Is there a free tier?
We offer a 14-day free trial on every plan. After that, Braincave is a paid product. We believe in building something worth paying for.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your settings. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no questions asked.
Technical
Is Braincave a native app?
Braincave launches as a Progressive Web App (PWA). It installs to your home screen and works offline. Native iOS and Android apps are on our post-launch roadmap.
Does Braincave integrate with other tools?
At launch, Braincave integrates with Google Calendar for contextual nudges (like pre-meeting prep). Email forwarding works with any email provider. More integrations are planned based on user demand.
