Why we built Braincave
We kept forgetting things. Not because we're disorganised, but because that's simply how brains work. We'd capture thoughts in random apps, leave notes that never got read, or send messages to ourselves that vanished into the inbox. The tools were there, but they all demanded a "system" we didn't have time to maintain.
That mental load created real stress and a constant tax on our nervous systems. We spent too many nights lying awake, trying to retrieve thoughts that had slipped through the cracks.
So we built Braincave. A second brain that does the organising for you. Capture a thought in seconds, and it's instantly sorted and tagged. No friction. Just your thoughts, safely stored and ready when you are.
The Team
Becks
Co-Founder, Product & Strategy
Becks is the vision behind how Braincave feels and functions. After years of using tools that demanded too much "management", she wanted to build something that respected the way human brains actually work. She focuses on keeping the experience simple, honest, and entirely focused on the person using it.
Tim
Co-Founder, Technology
Tim is the architect behind Braincave's "second brain" logic. With a background in software engineering and DevOps, he builds the systems that handle the heavy lifting of sorting and tagging. His goal is to make the technology invisible so that capturing and retrieving your thoughts feels effortless.
What we believe
Capture should be instant
If it takes more than a few seconds, you won't do it. Braincave is designed for the moment a thought arrives. Walking, driving, falling asleep.
AI does the work, you do the thinking
You shouldn't have to decide where a thought goes. The AI classifies, tags, and connects, so your brain can focus on what it's actually good at.
Choice, not force
We never force a single path. Want a guided tour? Great. Want to jump straight in? Also great. Your second brain works the way you do.
Your data is yours
We never train AI on your data. Full deletion when you want it. Your thoughts are private, and we intend to keep it that way.
